Join other Earthkeepers for three days at the Earthkeepers Training Centre!

You'll need to bring your keys with you because you use them throughout the program.

 

 

Here are some of the things you'll do during Level II Training:

  • Crawl inside the largest leaf on the planet
  • Join the Chain Gang for an energy race
  • Journey to a City of the Future
  • Take a trip through the water cycle and help the lazy sun
  • Search for a missing passenger
  • Learn the secrets of a Nightwatcher


 

Other highlights include:
  • Swimming in a glacial lake
  • Sing and laugh during evening campfires
  • Explore new areas of the woods and streams
  • Unlock new meanings of E.M.

 

Facilities:

Students and staff will be staying at the McKeever Environmental Learning Center in Sandy Lake, PA. A beautiful and modern complex, the center consists of three lodges, a 186-seat auditorium, dining hall and an office/classroom building with a library. The center has over 4 miles of hiking trails on 205-acres with one trail connecting the center to nearby Goddard State Park and Lake Wilhelm. The McKeever Center is administered by Slippery Rock University on behalf of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education.
