Earthkeepers Level III Training

Be among the Earthkeepers who continue to care for the earth and work towards becoming a master Earthkeeper.

McKeever Environmental Learning Center

 

During the Earthkeepers Level III program, you will participate in experiences unlike any other in your training thus far. Throughout the three days of training you will focus on Energy and Materials you use each and every day and how your actions affect our Ship of Life, Sections of Life and Styles of Life.

 

 

Here are some of the things you'll do during Level III Training:

  • Journey to Solarville where Mario will create a pizza especially for you.
  • Become a worker at the Cycle Factory and help a tree to grow by operating the cycles of life.
  • Reconstruct an old museum exhibit using treasures of the past.
  • Visit the ruins of an old civilization and discover its secret.


 

Other highlights include:  

  • Meet Disruptus and Harmonious
  • Learn about Perceptions and Choices
  • Use Your Nightwatcher Skills
  • Swim at nearby Sandy Lake

 

Facilities:

Students and staff will be staying at the McKeever Environmental Learning Center in Sandy Lake, PA. A beautiful and modern complex, the center consists of three lodges, a 200-seat auditorium, dining hall and an office/classroom building with a library. The center has over 4 miles of hiking trails on 205-acres with one trail connecting the center to nearby Goddard State Park and Lake Wilhelm. The McKeever Center is administered by Slippery Rock University on behalf of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education.
