McKeever's Summer Camp

July 14-18, 2008

Mark your calendar and plan on coming to McKeever this summer!

If you are 12-14 years old and like being outdoors, then we have just the adventure for you!

Talk to your friends and plan on having a great time this summer!

Mornings include wildlife, orienteering, forestry and watersheds.

Afternoons include hiking, canoeing, cycling and swimming.

Camp Notes:

This five-day camp emphasizes outdoor topics in the morning followed by outdoor adventures in the afternoon. We will take advantage of the wonderful natural areas near the McKeever Center which includes Goddard State Park and Lake Wilhelm and glacial Sandy Lake. Canoeing the backwaters of Lake Wilhelm will be a highlight of camp with the opportunity to observe nesting ospreys and bald eagles. We will also bike the 12.5 mile loop around Lake Wilhelm. During less structured times, participants can play basketball and volleyball or walk down to Rocky Basin. And what would summer camp be without evening campfires!

Who Should Attend?

This camp is open for boys and girls ages 12-14 who have an interest in the outdoors.
